Service Manager for the Residential and Resources section of Children and family services for Newport City Council.
Kerry has spent much of her 22 year career working in and managing residential child care services.
In 2006 Kerry received the accolade of Residential Manager of the year from Care forum Wales.
Kerry has experience of working in ‘field’ social work, and has had management responsibility for the After care team, Fostering team, adoption team, Residential childcare units and responsibility to ensure corporate parenting is given the profile required to ensure all children and young people have the same opportunity’s. Kerry established Newport’s Crisis Intervention team prior to the IFFS being established.
Kerry worked on Gwent's Primary mental health team, she has been seconded to the Gwent multiagency Missing person project for fifteen months.
Kerry lives in Torfaen with her husband; she has three grown up children.
