Clare Evans

Debrief and Mediation Worker with Llamau

Clare Evans is one of the Independant Debrief and Mediation Worker for Llamau providing a service for the Gwent Missing Children Project.

Clare has 12 years’ experience working with Children and young people within a social work environment. Two year of this was in a local Authority Looked after Team and then six years in a leaving care team before joining Llamau to provide the debrief service to the Gwent Missing Children Team.

The role of the debrief worker is to visit a young person following a missing incident and to empower the young person to be able to discuss the push and pull factors that lead them to be reported as missing. Once the need has been identified the young person is then signposted to the relevant agencies where appropriate support can be offered and the debrief worker ensures that there are no barriers to them accessing this.

Clare has been in this role for four years and enjoys the variety of work that is undertaken within the role and the new challenges and rewards that come with it daily.
